- JDiction Resin Colorant
- Gloves
- Measuring cups
- Mixing cup
- Stir bars
- Scattered decorations, glitter, dried flowers, etc.
- Silicone mold for ballpoint pens
- Ballpoint pen refill with lid
- Awl
- Sandpaper
- tweezers
Pour epoxy resin ballpoint pen - This is how it works:
Preparation:
Have all the materials ready. Note that we recommend for your materials and workspace to be between 72-85°F.
Step 1: Put on the disposable gloves and mix our EPODEX PRO system according to the instructions in a ratio of 1: 1 by volume. Stir well until no more streaks can be seen.
Step 2: Place the ballpoint pen refill with the lid in the silicone mold. It is important that the lid stays on, otherwise the pen would no longer write.
Step 3: Pour the clear epoxy resin into the silicone mold and add glitter, drop-in pigments, dried flowers, etc. as you wish, using tweezers to insert them.
Step 4: Take the pens out of the mold after 24 hours. But check beforehand whether the resin is really already completely hardened, otherwise it can still deform during molding.
Step 5: After molding, expose the writing tip of the ballpoint pen with an awl. Then sanded and polished so that it is not too sharp-edged.
Step 6: With transparent castings, the use of silicone molds can lead to streaks on the edge.
