🔧 Materials You’ll Need for Resin Bloom Art

To create the perfect resin flower bloom, gather these essentials:

  • JDiction Fast Cure Resin (fast-cure = better bloom results)

  • Silicone mold (round, coaster, or floral mold)

  • White resin pigment paste

  • Alcohol inks (various vibrant shades)

  • Clear plastic mixing cups (small and large)

  • Mixing sticks (popsicle or plastic)

  • Piping bag + clip

  • Scissors

  • Gloves

  • Paper towels or wipes

  • Heat gun or torch

  • A perfectly level workspace (leveling table to help with this)

🌡️ Step 1: Warm and Mix Your Resin

Start with bubble-free, well-mixed resin for best results:

  • Submerge Part A & B resin bottles in 88–95°F (31–35°C) water for 10–15 minutes.

  • While waiting, prep your mold and select your ink color combo.

  • Dry bottles completely before opening.

  • Mix equal parts of A & B in a cup and stir slowly for 3–5 minutes.

  • Optional: pour into a second clean cup and stir again to improve clarity.

🎨 Step 2: Pour Your Base and Add Alcohol Ink

Lay the foundation for your 3D resin flower:

  • Pour resin into the mold (half to ¾ full), saving a portion for the white pigment mix.

  • Use a heat gun or torch to eliminate surface bubbles.

  • Gently swirl the edges with a stick to release hidden air.

  • Immediately drop alcohol inks into the resin — watch them start to bloom!

🎨 Step 3: Mix the White Bloom Resin

The white pigment creates the signature petal effect:

  • Stir the pigment paste, then lightly coat a stick with residue.

  • Mix this into your leftover resin until it has a milky, semi-opaque consistency.

  • Pour into a piping bag, secure with a clip, and snip a small opening.

🌸 Step 4: Pipe Petals and Create the Bloom

Time to bloom! JDiction’s fast-cure resin gives you just the right working window:

  • Test the white mixture on a paper towel — it should be slightly thick.

  • Pipe spiral or petal shapes in the center of each ink pool.

  • Allow to fully cure and demold your 3D floral resin coasters!
