Continuer vos achatsJDiction has been co-working with the largest epoxy resin manufacturer in the world and mainly sourced raw material of resin from southeast Asia to achieve the best value for premium quality.
This new formula has reached 3 times stronger UV protection than the regular epoxy resin in the market. From the laboratory UV test as you can see in the chat above, the degree of yellowing from UV light acheived by JDiction's new formulated product in the second year is less than that of any other brands in the first year. Our new formula containing a proprietary blend of UV and hindered amine light stabilizers to ensure the final art piece with crystal effect lasing for a long term.
Our products have gained reputations among beginners, resin crafters and artists with its professionsl-level quality, crystal clear results with this stunning surface of artwork. As resin crafters ourselves we highly value the safety and long-last effects of anti-yellowing and stability of our products.
With gloves on, measure equal amounts of A&B by volume, not weight.
Pour together into a mixing cup and mix slowly until absolutely no swirls are seen, scrape sides and bottom thoroughly. (Time:3-5 minutes) Tips:
* Stir slowly to avoid bubbles
Optionally, add in pigments or alcohol inks to get different appearance. Stir until thoroughly mixed. Slowly pour mixed resin down the side of the mould to avoid air bubbles.
Tips:
* DO NOT add pigments for more than 6% of the total mixed volume.
Use a torch or heat gun on low in a sweeping motion about 8 inches from the resin to pop the bubbles. For smaller castings, bubbles can be popped with a toothpick.
Tips:
The formation of bubbles mainly occurs when the resin is mixed, or the epoxy resin reacts with the surface on which it is coated, so you need to keep the surface clean and completely dry. Mix with a stick slowly, carefully and thoroughly.
Coloring 一 Do not use any water base dyes or additives. Any dry filler can be added to achieve different appearances.
Shelf Life - One year in unopened containers. Best if stored in a dry place in the box and out of direct light. Ideal storage temperature is 70F.
Work Area & Clean Up - Work in a dust free environment with good ventilation and temperatures between 70-80F. It is extremely difficult to remove from clothes, carpet, and other porous materials. While in the liquid form, use rubbing alcohol, mineral spirits, or other mild solvents to clean up.
Surface Coverage - In order for resin to properly self-level and flow across surface, you must pour a generous amount of resin onto surface. For large surfaces, we recommend coating no more than 3 square feet at a time.
Sticky, Soft or Tacky Spots 一 Soft or sticky spots are a result of off ratio or inadequate mixing. Make sure you have measured the resin accurately by volume and equal parts, Then make sure to slowly mix the material thoroughly until absolutely no swirls can be seen.
Epoxy resin contains resin and hardener, mixed in a ratio of 1 :1 to produce a chemical exothermic reaction, and finally solidify to form a transparent body with a certain hardness. Usually used for DIY models, making videos, key chains, resin tables, etc.
Product Features:
JDiction is considered a non-hazardous material and is non-toxic when used as directed, however there are some common sense safety precautions that every user should follow:
-Work in a well ventilated area.
-Wear a respirator if ventilation is poor.
-Wear gloves.
Epoxy resin is very sticky in its liquid form, so gloves will protect the user from a mess, as well as skin irritation. Clean skin promptly with soap and water if it does come in contact with the product.
If the product somehow comes in contact with your eyes, flush with water repeatedly and do not rub. Promptly seek medical attention.
Generally, epoxy cures faster when the air temperature is warmer. Exothermic heat is produced by the chemical reaction that cures epoxy. The amount of heat produced depends on the thickness or exposed surface area of mixed epoxy. In a thicker mass, more heat is retained, causing a faster reaction and more heat.
Please check below and try to avoid them during the process:
Measuring it properly means using graduated mixing cups to make sure you get accurate measurements.
You need to mix the resin well, scraping the sides of your cup and mixing utensil as you go.
If you reused the mixing cup, make sure clean it before use.
If you want to add inclusions into resin, make sure inclusions completely dry.
Epoxy is a sensitive product for time and temperature. Resin cures best in a room temperature of low 75-85°F. Make sure to mix your resin at the right temperature.
What's the solution for it?
This problem mostly occurs in applying on tumblers, and on subjects with smoother surfaces. Possible reasons as below:
Proceed by re-coating with epoxy. (Note: Items with the too-smooth surface are not suitable for epoxy resin coating. Because it can*t be well combined, fisheyes are prone to appear. Ifs like water and not smooth on the glass. Meanwhile, it may also fall off after curing.)
The fact is that epoxy resins in general are prone to yellowing and other degradative effects from UV light. A UV stabilizer contained in most epoxy resin products in the market helps to delay the epoxy's natural yellowing process then the question is how much delay they can achieve. JDiction's new formulated materials have reached 3 times stronger UV protection as it contains both UV stabilizer and advanced addictive hindered amine light stabilizer to interrupt the yellowing process and ensure high gloss effects in a longer term.
Cloudy or dull epoxy is typically caused by excessive moisture. Specifically, moisture from excessive humidity in the area where the epoxy was applied or excessive moisture in/on the concrete application surface. Be sure to eliminate all water before applying epoxy. Never apply epoxy when relative humidity is over 75%. Solutions*
